frk-3Father Kevin Frankland is our Rector. He and his wife, Mother Melissa Frankland, came to us from the East Coast and are both ordained priests in the Anglican Church of Canada. Father Kevin was born and raised on White Head Island, NB.
His interest in church music began at an early age; He began singing at his local Baptist Church at 10, and it was there that his love for church music was born.  This continued throughout University, where he attained his Undergraduate Degree in Education and Music.
His initial plan was to be a Music Teacher, but God had other plans for him.   While he was at University, he was invited to attend an Anglo Catholic Church.  While there, he became captivated by the Anglo Catholic Liturgy and Music.  Soon he became a member of the choir and began to learn the Anglican Liturgy and Anglo Catholic Tradition.
Upon returning to New Brunswick, he then began his discernment process with the Diocese of Fredericton.  He was Ordained a Deacon (2008) and a Priest (2009) and served 6.5 years in a 7 point Parish on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia.  In September of 2014, he made his way to land locked Winnipeg to serve as Rector of St Michael and all Angel’s Anglican Church.
Father Kevin enjoys preaching and teaching Anglican History, Liturgy, Sacraments, and Tradition.  He takes pride in empowering people to use the gifts God has given them, as we build up His Kingdom on earth.  In his spare time, Father Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife, along with camping, hiking, badminton, travelling around Manitoba, bonfires, and relaxing at the beach.
