Mass can sometimes seem like an elaborate stage play, with many players moving around, facing different directions, following what to some may be a mysterious choreography.
Sunday January 26 at 10:30 a.m. was a special Instructional Mass – Father Kevin paused the mass at various points to explain the choreography and the meanings behind the movements. Symbolism, function, and history of the various liturgical spaces were also discussed.
Father Kevin led the third in a series of stop-motion masses, with explanations sprinkled throughout the mass. The focus of this instructed mass is: Vestments and Liturgical Ornaments — origins, symbolism, colours, etc.
