SUNG MASS FOR THE FEAST OF SAINTS SIMON & JUDE

10:30 AM, October 28, 2018

Welcome to worship at St. Michael and All Angels this morning. A special welcome is extended to all visitors and we hope that you experience God’s presence as we worship together.

Today we celebrate the feast day of Saints Simon and Jude, Apostles and Martyrs. Little is known about them historically but tradition holds that they preached the Gospel in Mesopotamia and Persia before their martyrdom. St. Jude is known as the patron saint of desperate situations, hopeless cases, and lost causes. Our parish has a banner of St. Jude (presently located at the front of the church on the north side of the chancel) which originally belonged to the now-defunct parish in Winnipeg’s West End that bore his name.

Please use the time before the liturgy for quiet prayer and reflection. After the mass, all are invited to gather for conversation and refreshments in the parish hall.
